This is a post that needs to be written. It is not for anyone - or for any purpose. It just had to be written. And to whoever owns this video or claims ownership of it - this is no longer yours alone. It is the world's. And it lives in those who believe that every day is the day. That every moment is the moment.
I am not typically one who would look for specific videos on YouTube but this is one of the few exceptions to the rule. I specifically looked for this video with the goal of being able to embed it into my blog - because I thought it was very beautiful.
I first heard this on the radio in Singapore - in a taxi whilst I was in the midst of a significant transition in my life.
Then by sheer coincidence, a friend from the States sent me a YouTube video that had this song, Hurt by Christina Aguilera, as the background of a montage of photos.
Then I started the hunt for the CD.
I went store to store to store in search for Christina Aguilera albums - to look for this song. Since I didn't know then what the song was (I had yet to learn the value of social networks), I had to listen to each and every CD I could get hold of.
I skipped her latest CD - "Back to Basics" - because I had it already. So the hunt for the CD went on.
Dejected, since I couldn't find it, I realized that there were actually two CDs in her latest CD. And lo and behold: On the second CD's label, there it was - this song. I almost cried in relief.
How is this related to communications planning?
It's not. It's just a demonstration of the irrationality of human emotions and behavior. It's just a demonstration that one who perhaps is seen as cold, isolated, thorough, demanding, and heartless could in fact be affected by irrationality - and well, feelings.
Here is the video from YouTube.Com - enjoy it.
For people who have experienced the same significant life-changing shifts as I have in my life: Don't worry - whatever it is shall also pass.
I am having a YouTube.Com night and I discovered these new videos:
And here's another one:
And still another...:
The song above is one of my most favorite songs of all time. "For all that I have done wrong, I must have done something right to deserve your love and butterfly kisses at night."
This guy ought to be signed up by record companies - or better yet, be an independent and sell his music directly online.
