The one on the left has colors - let colors be the different geographic markets you're in.)
Which chart is better?
My answer: Depends.
Chart 1 gives me the entire story - although presenting it probably will be hellish, it would probably do good in a written report.
Chart 2 might be simplistic to some - but it highlights one and only one city. Most likely this would be the chart I'd use in a presentation to tell a story.
One thing I am learning - tell a story in bits and pieces without losing the plot. And never, ever be the slave of slides.
