Systems, processes and structures should empower people, not limit their potentials. They exist to provide order and limits - from which one can jump and be creative. When they no longer serve their purpose, they must be discarded and changed. There is nothing more frustrating than being "limited" by "what's always been done".
Just because they've always been done doesn't mean they are right.
And just because they've always delivered results doesn't mean they will continue to do so.
Change is the only thing that is constant - even amongst consumers at the bottom of the income pyramid.

Thanks very much for your comment. Indeed, we need to start thinking about (and acting on those thoughts) processes and systems as something that "empowers", catalyzes, and facilitates creativity and innovation, rather than hindrances.
